Wireline Spring Jar Wireline Tool String
I. introduction
The spring jar is one of the wirline basic tools used for wireline
fishing operation in the
gas well. The wireline spring jar is designed to provide upward
jarring during heavy
duty fishing operation. The wireline spring jar works with shift
ingesting principle and
is able to guarantee the faultless operation with least maintenace,
so that the wireline
spring jar can provide reliable upward jarring force.
Ⅱ.Structure characteristics
The wireline spring jar consists of fishing neck, sleeve, jar stem,
pup joint, locking
piece, slip, spring, extension rod, spacer, connecting sleeve,
pressing sleeve, adjusting
screw, lower sub, disc spring, etc..
When the jar is closed, the slip on the jar stem will stretch and
clamp on the extension rod
under the function of spring. When lifting, the jar stem will drive
the slip to pull the extension
rod and squeeze the disc spring to reserve energy. When the jar
stem runs for some stroke,
the slip will be squeezed by the pup joint and disconnect with the
extension rod. Then the
energy of disc spring will release immediately to finish the
jarring effect.
